Life Transitions

Consultations in a time of Covid-19

In response to the challenge of no longer being able to see clients in my rooms, I am available for phone, Zoom and email consultations. Please feel free to contact me to discuss how this might work for you. We’re all in this together!

The basics

Most of us manage transitions from one stage of our lives to another without needing much extra help.  But sometimes, for a whole range of reasons, you may find yourself struggling.

More information

Perhaps you are finding your new circumstances quite different from what you expected, or perhaps your new circumstances are triggering underlying issues or memories for you.

Transitions can include leaving home (or having your children leave home), getting married, getting divorced, starting a new job or losing a job, having a child, going through menopause, losing a parent, becoming chronically ill, growing old. There is actually very little culturally-sanctioned information about the more difficult aspects of some of these transitions – motherhood and menopause are prime examples.

Perhaps your new circumstances are triggering underlying issues. If you're finding a new stage of your life more distressing than you had expected to, and talking to friends about it does not seem enough, it might be worth seeking further help.

There are many ways in which these difficulties can be addressed, and a really good conversation about your history, expectations and symptoms will generally help us jointly to find a way of your growing into the transition.

How may I help?

Why not contact me for a confidential, no-obligation initial chat about your circumstances to see whether I can help?
