Consultations in a time of Covid-19

In response to the challenge of no longer being able to see clients in my rooms, I am available for phone, Zoom and email consultations. Please feel free to contact me to discuss how this might work for you. We’re all in this together!

The basics

Symptoms of an unresolved trauma response include flashbacks and emotional flooding, poor short-term memory and concentration, agitation, sleep difficulties and social withdrawal.

More information

By trauma, we mean an event that is profoundly threatening to your own life or safety, or the life or safety of a loved one.  Events that are generally experienced as traumatic include natural disasters, car accidents, work-related accidents, being the victim of a crime, and sexual assault and abuse.  A traumatic event may have left you with ongoing arousal and distress that makes normal functioning difficult. Responses to traumatic events will vary enormously. Some people will be more distressed by some events than others, and some people will recover from trauma responses more quickly than others.

Responses to traumatic events will vary enormously.Where symptoms are severe, or persist for more than a few weeks, it is important to seek assistance.

I have had significant experience with a range of trauma issues, including sexual abuse and assault, car accidents and work-related trauma.
